All Hallows’ Eve, or Halloween, precedes the Church’s celebration of All Saints’ Day. Early Christians kept the practice of remembering the martyrs on the day of their death. Later, Christians began remembering all the saints on November 1st. Our youth-led service, with a liturgy from The Episcopal Church’s Book of Occasional Services, will have readings from Holy Scripture, Taizé chants, hymns, and prayers for the saints and our dearly departed. During the service, the pipes of our organ will blare the spooky sounds of Bach's famous Toccata in D minor. Halloween costumes are optional! We hope you will join us!
